Checkbook register consists of some columns. The first column is Name that is used to identify type of financial transaction. The next column is checkbook period referring to span of time of the recording. Beginning balance, statement balance and checkbook balance are columns to record beginning balance, total cash disbursed in a period and ending balance respectively. In checkbook register, you will also come across some columns like Date, Payee, Debit, Credit and many more. Debit used to describe inflow cash and Credit is to identify outflow cash.
